Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if the government enforce a localised lockdown so I cannot travel?
Government guidance is constantly being reviewed and updated and is always subject to change. Before deciding whether to travel, customers should ensure they have checked and understood the relevant government guidance that is applicable to them and their party. If you are unable to travel due to government guidance or restriction, we will postpone your hire and create a credit note for the monies you have paid. This would be valid for up to 18 months.
I can’t travel due Coronavirus
If you or any of your party develop or have any symptoms of Covid-19 within 14 days of your holiday or receive a track and trace alert you must inform us straight away or at least 48 hours before you go. Please also inform us if this occurs within the last 48 hours before departing for your holiday.
You are advised to take out your own personal travel insurance to cover, last minute cancellations etc. Trailfinders for example, offers COVID-19 cover which includes trips being cancelled, shortened due to illness or lengthened due to having to self-isolate after falling ill while on holiday.
What happens if I fall ill whilst during the hire period
We sincerely hope that does not happen but in the, hopefully, very unlikely event it does please ensure you follow the appropriate Government advice. The latest Government guidance in Wales can be found HERE.
You will see that if you or a member of your party falls ill whilst staying in one of our campervans, you should self-isolate and request a test. If you are confirmed to have COVID-19 you should return home. When contacting the NHS please specifically mention that you are staying in a campervan. If you are advised by NHS to remain where you are, we will work with you to facilitate this as best we can and you will be required to pay the rates due for an additional stay and any other costs that relate to the additional stay.
Your Safety, Precautions, and Cleaning of Campervans
The safety of our customers is very important to us. We are doing things a little different now and want to let you know that we are doing all we can to provide you with the confidence that everything has been done with your health and safety in mind.
There are new procedures for handover that follow social distancing guidelines, including a digital handbook digital, with a ‘house’ manual and instructions for using the campervan, and scheduled collections to limit the number of people on our premises.
Our campervans are already cleaned to a high standard, but to minimise the risk to you and to us we are following the cleaning protocols in context of COVID-19 recommended by Welsh Government, using disinfectant that complies to EN14675 or EN14476 and particular attention is paid to all touch points such as door handles, steering wheel, gear stick, and kitchen surfaces. We are acreditted with the “We’re Good To Go” the official UK mark to signal that a tourism and hospitality business has worked hard to follow Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and has a process in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.
A fresh cleaning pack will be provided in the campervan for each hire customer and we respectfully ask customers to maintain cleanliness standards within the campervan while they are on hire.
